Landscape Design

Our team of landscape designers create innovative custom designs that are tailored to fit the lifestyles of our clients and their surrounding environments. From small courtyard gardens to large commercial projects, Plant Providers works closely with our clients to produce appropriate design solutions that bring serenity and beauty to each garden setting.

How It Works

Initial Consultation

During the initial consultation, the designer and client take a tour of the site and discuss the client's ideas. During this process the designer offers ideas and solutions and discusses the style of landscaping and plants best suited to your site. Our design portfolio is available to view as well as samples of our designs. The consultation is usually one hour. A consultation fee is charged but is subtracted from your design fee should you hire us. After the initial meeting, a proposal is prepared and sent to the client indicating the design fee and scope of the project.

Design Process

Phase 1: Site Analysis
The designer assesses the site, takes measurements, photographs, elevations and documents existing structures and plantings so a detailed Site Analysis can be prepared to scale. The Site Analysis will indicate vegetation to be retained, removed or relocated, drainage issues, noise problems, privacy issues, sun and shade patterns as well as any other considerations specific to your site.

Phase 2: Preliminary Design
A conceptual sketch of proposed hardscape elements such as a patios, water features, walks and decks, retaining walls and fencing will be provided as well as plant materials. The designer and client meet to review the design, plant selection, review photographs of proposed materials and sketch any revisions to the plan. Once the Preliminary Design is approved by the client, the designer prepares the Final Design.

Phase 3: Final Design
The Final Design will indicate placement and details of hardscape elements as well as plant materials which may be used to obtain bids for your project. A list of plant materials indicating botanical name, common name, quantity and sizes of each plant selected will be included. For an hourly fee, we can personally select your plant materials, arrange for delivery and place the plants on site.

Referrals

Plant Providers™ has established relationships with a network of Landscape Contractors and other landscape professionals allowing us to assist you in matching the right installer with the right job. We only refer contractors who are licensed and insured and who maintain a reputation for producing high quality work.

Maintenance

This is an area that is often overlooked or not included in the budget. Even low maintenance landscapes require attention from time to time in order for the landscape to look its best. We can assist you with developing a maintenance program and referring a maintenance company or individual that best matches your site's requirements.
